Can a shopper on your landing page see what their custom product costs, without clicking through to the product page?
A quote calculator answers that on the page. Shoppers type their size, pick their options and see the price right there, instead of filling in a form and waiting for a reply.
With Appify Custom Product Options, you can put a calculator on any page: a landing page, a collection, your home page or a custom page. Other product options apps don't allow this. Their options only appear on the product page.
Here's which setup each page needs, and how to make it fit the page.
One calculator, on every page it needs
Pricing a custom product away from its product page usually means building a second, simpler estimator for the landing page. That's two sets of rates to keep in step, and sooner or later they drift apart.
Here it's the same calculator. Put it on as many pages as you like, and on the product page too, so a rate you change once is changed everywhere it appears. Every pricing rule comes with it: formulas, pricing tables, quantity discounts, fees and minimum prices.
One calculator, one set of prices, every page it's on. Link it to a product and shoppers add to cart without leaving the page they landed on.
Which page needs which calculator?
Off the product page, one setting on the Other pages placement decides how the calculator behaves: the Associated product. Pick one and shoppers can add it to the cart. Leave it empty and the calculator gives a price estimate.
| Page | Best setup | What the shopper does |
|---|---|---|
| Ad or campaign landing page | Linked to the product the ad sells | Prices it and adds it to the cart without leaving the page |
| Collection page | Linked to the range's main product, above the grid | Sees what their size costs before choosing a style |
| Trade or project estimator page | No product linked | Gets a price estimate, then gets in touch to order |
| Home page | Linked to your best-selling custom product | Prices it from the first page they land on |
Landing pages: close the sale where the click landed
A campaign page exists to sell one thing. Every extra click to a product page is a chance to lose the shopper.
Link the calculator to the product the ad promotes. The shopper sets their size and options and adds it to the cart with every choice attached, all on the page they arrived on.
Collection pages: the price before the choice
Someone browsing blinds or flooring wants a rough cost before they compare styles. A product grid can't tell them what their size will cost.
Put a calculator at the top of the collection, linked to the range's main product. They get a real number for their size first, then browse knowing what to expect.
Estimator pages: a price, then a conversation
Some jobs start with a talk, like a large sign order or a trade account. Leave the product empty on those pages: visitors see a price estimate and contact you to order.
They arrive already knowing the ballpark, so the conversation starts at "when" instead of "how much".
Make the calculator look like the page
A landing page has its own look, and a calculator that doesn't match stands out for the wrong reasons.
- Style templates: start from a ready-made style template such as Clean, Modern or Minimal, under Placement & Styling.
- Describe the look: tell the AI Style Assistant what the page looks like, for example "rounded buttons, a soft beige background and dark green accents", and it restyles the calculator.
- Show the breakdown: the price summary can sit above, below or beside the calculator. On an estimator page, itemize it so the shopper sees a full cost breakdown next to their choices.
- Keep long calculators short: split them into steps with a multi-step layout, so a landing page doesn't turn into a wall of fields.
What goes on the calculator
A quote calculator is only as good as its math. A landing page for custom signs needs the size, the material, single or double-sided, and a quantity break. A setup fee should apply once per order, not once per sign.
All of that lives in one calculator:
- Formulas on any option and on the final price, so area times a material rate just works.
- Pricing variables like AREA, written once and reused in any formula or rule.
- Pricing tables for supplier grids. Sizes between the columns can round up, round down, take the nearest or blend.
- Quantity discounts by quantity, or by quantity and size.
- Fixed fees, minimum and maximum prices, so small orders still cover your costs.
You don't have to build it by hand. Describe how you price to Chat with AI, and it adds the options, pricing, rules and styling. Attach your price sheet and it builds the tables.
Selling abroad from a landing page
Campaign pages often target more than one country. Calculated prices convert with Shopify Markets with no extra setup in the app. Each calculator can run in up to 10 languages, following the shopper's Shopify language.
For the full international setup, see how to sell custom products in multiple languages and currencies.
Setting it up
Choose Other pages (homepage, landing, custom page) as the placement, copy the Calculator ID, and paste it into the Appify Calculator block in the theme editor. Page builders like GemPages and PageFly use a short Liquid snippet instead.

Yes. Appify Custom Product Options places a calculator on collection, landing, home and custom pages, and a linked product can go in the cart from there.

Yes. Start from a style template, then describe the look to the AI Style Assistant and it restyles the calculator for you.
Can shoppers see a cost breakdown?
