How to Run a Print Shop That Sells Stickers, Wallpaper, Signs and Banners From One Shopify Store

A print shop that sells stickers, wallpaper, signs and banners has four products that price in four different ways. Appify Custom Product Options runs all four from one Shopify store, with one calculator per product and one Orders tab for everything that comes in.

Each product keeps its own pricing, its own design rules and its own production files. You build them one at a time and reuse the parts that repeat.

How do you set up several print products in one Shopify store?

Give each product type its own calculator. A sticker is priced by size and quantity. Wallpaper is priced by wall area. A sign adds material and sides. A banner adds a hanger.

Trying to force all four into one calculator makes every product carry options it never uses. Four small calculators stay easy to read and easy to change.

Product What sets the price What the designer does What you print from
Stickers Size, material, quantity Cut line around the artwork Print-ready PNG and cut-line SVG
Wallpaper Wall width and height Pattern placement on the wall Proof showing the placement
Signs Size, material, sides, quantity Front and back artwork Print-ready PNG
Banners Width, height, material Canvas matches the banner size Print-ready PNG and production manifest

Where do you start for each product?

Start from the closest thing that already exists. There are three ways to do it, and a shop will usually use all three.

  • A template. The Templates catalog has pre-built calculators you can preview and install as a draft. A wallpaper sizing template is one example. The catalog copy stays as it is, and your copy is yours to change.
  • A clone. Duplicating a calculator copies every option, formula, rule and style. The copy starts with no products assigned, so nothing changes on your store until you assign it.
  • Chat with AI. Describe the product in plain language, or attach the price sheet you already use. It builds the options and the pricing for you to check.

A sign calculator is a good clone for a banner. Both have a size and a material. The banner just needs a hanger added.

How does each product find its calculator?

In Placement & Styling, choose Product pages and then pick products or whole collections. A collection assignment covers every product in that collection, including ones you add later.

So the sticker calculator goes on your Stickers collection, the sign calculator on Signs, and so on. A new die-cut sticker you list next month picks up the sticker calculator on its own.

Two details save trouble:

  • A product you assign directly keeps its own calculator, even if it sits in a collection assigned to another one. That is how you handle the odd product that does not fit its collection.
  • Publishing is what updates the storefront. Saving only stores your draft.

One app, one place to build, and one Orders tab. You do not install a separate tool for stickers and another for wallpaper.

How do you price each product its own way?

Each calculator holds its own pricing, so a sticker price and a wallpaper price never interfere. A few examples of what that looks like.

Stickers: size by quantity

Stickers usually come with a price list by size and a discount as the order grows. Put the size grid in a pricing table and let quantity discounts do the rest. The full build is in how to sell custom stickers with a design studio.

For a working example with size-based quantity discounts, see the neon sticker calculator breakdown.

Wallpaper: wall area

The customer types the wall width and height. The calculator works out the area and the price from it. The wallpaper guide walks through panels, seams and pattern placement.

Signs: size, material and sides

Material and single or double-sided each add their own charge to the area price. How to price custom signs covers the formula, and a setup fee that is charged once instead of per sign.

Banners: size and a hanger

A banner needs a width, a height and a material. The hanger is a linked add-on product with its own SKU, set to match the banner quantity. See how to sell custom banners with instant pricing.

Different discounts for different materials

The same calculator can give each material its own discount schedule. In quantity discount rules, add a conditional table, name it, and set the condition. A vinyl label and a paper label can each have their own breaks.

Tables are checked in order and the first match is used. Keep one marked Use when nothing else matches, so every other choice still gets a discount.

The discount basics, including how quantities add up across cart lines, are in tiered and volume pricing for custom products.

What does the designer do for each product?

Stickers, wallpaper and banners are products where the design is part of the product. The Product Designer gives each its own canvas.

  • Stickers. The cut line can be a circle, rectangle, oval, rounded rectangle or star, or Auto (die-cut), traced from the customer's own artwork.
  • Wallpaper. The customer places the pattern against the wall size they typed. The wallpaper bindings control how the artboard and pattern respond.
  • Banners. Bind width and height to the artboard, so the canvas is the banner's size.

A sign that only needs a text line and a picked color does not need a designer at all. Leave it off and the product stays simple.

What arrives with an order?

Every order, whichever product it holds, shows up in one place: the Orders tab. Each line lists its options, the product image or proof thumbnail, and links for the design and upload files.

The files differ by product, and that is the point of setting them per calculator.

  • A sticker line carries a print-ready PNG and, when you turn it on, a cut-line SVG for the cutter.
  • A banner line carries the proof and print-ready PNG, plus a production manifest if you enable it.
  • A wallpaper line carries the proof showing where the customer placed the pattern.

Export settings sit under print quality and production output. The Design Files page on each line gathers them for whoever runs the press. Approval before checkout is in how to review custom orders with proofs and design files.

For a repeat customer, open last month's order in the Orders tab and click Add Order to Cart. The same customized lines go back in the cart.

What should you build first?

Do not build all four in a week. Start with the product you sell most.

  1. Build one calculator end to end. Options, pricing, design and files, then place a test order.
  2. Clone it for the product next door. Banners from signs, or labels from stickers.
  3. Assign by collection. One assignment covers every product in it.
  4. Add the product that is furthest from the first. Wallpaper is a good fourth, because it has its own wall-size logic.
  5. Test each one the way a customer would. Open it on a phone, price three sizes by hand, and open the Design Files link on a test order.
